| If English is not your first language, you will need to meet the UTS English Requirements: http://www.uts.edu.au/future-students/international/study-abroad-and-exchange-students/english-language-requirements
If you do not meet these entry requirements you can apply for our Australian Language and Culture Program. Students from Germany, France, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden or the Netherlands are also eligible to apply to UTS with an alternative means of language assessment. If you come from Sweden, Denmark, Finland or Norway a mark of 75% or better in final High School English is considered equivalent. |

This guarantee of a UTS Housing place, as assigned by UTS Housing, will be offered if the students apply by the specified dates, as advised by UTS International during the application process. The guarantee is limited to any style of accommodation in any of the housing locations, and may not necessarily be the first preference of students. Information on the type of rooms available, locations, the application procedure and cost is available at the UTS Housing service website, above. Typically, start dates for UTS Housing are January for our Semester 1 (January – July) and July for our Semester 2 (July – December). Exact dates for commencing students may vary each year within or outside of these months. UTS Housing contracts are for 26 or 52 weeks from the start date, inclusive of all holidays which fall within this period. |

Some subjects may be full in any given semester. If this does occur, we will suggest an appropriate alternative, where available. Once students have received a letter of offer, they are encouraged to return the acceptance form as soon as possible to maximise the chance of places being available in approved subjects. Students who are interested in improving their English while on exchange are welcome to apply for English for Academic Purposes, a 6 credit point subject at UTS. Language subjects, other than English, are also available (see ‘International Studies’ link above). Students are required to enroll in 18 – 24 credit points at UTS. UTS subjects are typically 6 or 8 credit points each.
