Information specific to exchange students
| • Before sending the application forms we need the official Erasmus nomination from your university (a list certifying that you have been selected as an Erasmus incoming student to the Ionian University).
• Afterwards, you have to e-mail the preliminary Registration form to the International Relations Department (eras-inc@ionio.gr) and the Accommodation form – if you wish to stay in one of our student-hotels - to the Accommodation Office (merimna@ionio.gr) of our University before the following deadlines: Deadlines 1st semester or the full academic year: 30/06/2011 2nd semester: 31/10/2011 The Registration Application Form, the Learning Agreement, the Transcript of Records (including the courses - translated in Greek or English - which you have already passed at your home institution) and 1 passport-size photograph must be sent by registered mail to the International Relations Department (Rizospaston Voulefton 7, GR – 49100 CORFU) before the following deadlines: Deadlines 1st semester or the full academic year: 31/07/2011 2nd semester: 15/01/2012 |

| Erasmus students should have sufficient knowledge of the Greek language since most of the courses are taught in Greek. For Erasmus students, instructions can also be offered on a tutorial basis in one of the main European languages and the examinations have the form of essay writing or written exams.
Language of instruction and examination: Greek Also available : English, French, German, Italian and Spanish according to the tutor. The Ionian University offers Greek Language Course for Erasmus students during the academic year (October- June), free of charge, accredited with six (6) ECTS. |

| You have to contact the Accommodation Office before your arrival in order to get information on the conditions of accommodation and boarding.
The Ionian University has no Halls of Residence. You can choose: either to stay in hotels contracted (*) with the Ionian University for 100 € approx. / per month in a double bedroom (you share the room with another student) – breakfast and meals not included Please note: no single rooms are available or to rent an apartment in the town or in the outskirts (350€ -450€ approx. / per month – http://sites.ionio.gr/e-rent / E-mail: e-rent@ionio.gr ).You can also follow-up the relevant notice boards located at the entrances of the University’s building facilities. If you want to find an accommodation by yourself after your arrival, please contact the accommodation office before your arrival. If there are vacant beds in our student hotels, you can stay there for a few days. (*) Contractual period: Three days before the start of the 1st semester until the end of the examination period of the spring semester. Attention! Christmas and Easter Holidays periods are not covered by the contract.
