UNIVERSITY ALFONSO X EL SABIO gained its charter by Parliament with the law 9/1993, on the 19th April,
and began its academic life in the course 1994-1995. Its campus is situated in the town of Villanueva de la Cañada, 25 km from Madrid's city center. The University caters for ten thousand students, with 1000 students living on campus. This University was established with the purpose of educating our students for the future competitive working world. Old traditional values have been retained but introducing new technological tendencies. Academic innovations are always necessary to obtain the highest level of quality in education; hard working teaching staff and having the most useful materials are united in order to reach the University's objectives. |
