Sogn og Fjordane University College (SFUC) offers students a wide variety of educational programmes at the Bachelor level and a few Master programmes by its faculties in health studies (nursing), business administration, economics, tourism, languages, information management, engineering, sciences, social sciences, history, teacher education and sports. HSF offers several vocational Bachelor programmes and work closely with the regional industries, hospitals, education providers, public organizations and enterprises.

SFUC charges NO tuition fee, but a semester fee of approximately £ 50 and for some programmes there will be an excursion fee (indicated in programme descriptions). The semester fee is waived for students from partner institutions.

The faculty of Business and Management offers a masters programme in Health Management and three Bachelor programmes within Business Administration, Computer Science og Tourism, and a one year programme in English.

Sogn og Fjordane University College has together with the Western Norway Research Center established a broad national and international cooperation on tourism education and research, and is one of the foremost institutions on sustainable tourism and activity/leisure tourism in Norway. Through further national and international cooperation, the institutions have ambitions within a few years to become significant institutions on these subjects within Europe.

The nursing education is appointed the BEST nursing education in Norway in the nationwide student survey in 2007. Students have a modern and technically advanced Nursing Skill Centre for practice at the University College beside great cooperation with the hospital in the neighbour building and institutions in the County of Sogn og Fjordane for placement.

Great Cooperation with the local institutions and companies is also at the basis of the study programmes in social work, social educator, industrial instrumentation and process control where our students have closely followed-up placements/internships in the institutions/companies.

The Norwegian Welfare system and practical placement makes the foundation for the programmes Social Educator, Social work and history while the Nordic educational model is the basis for Comparative Studies of Education. About Norway in Norway sums up the welfare system, basics of the Norwegian language and Norwegian Economy.
